Biography
Tripti Dimri is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi films. She made her debut in the comedy film “Poster Boys” in 2017 and later played her first lead role in the romantic drama “Laila Majnu” in 2018. Her performances in Anvita Dutt’s period films “Bulbbul” (2020) and “Qala” (2022) were critically acclaimed. She was awarded the Filmfare OTT Award for her role in “Bulbbul”.
Dimri was recognized in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 list of 2021. She gained popularity for her supporting role in the blockbuster action film Animal (2023), which earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Additionally, she made a brief appearance in the top-grossing action thriller Animal (2023), alongside Ranbir Kapoor.
Monika Rawal Kukreja of Hindustan Times praised her performance in the film, describing her as “a treat to look out for”. This movie marked a significant milestone in Dimri’s career, as her role gained her wider recognition. As a result, she received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Dimri is set to star in two upcoming films. In Anand Tiwari’s romantic comedy Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, she will be seen alongside Vicky Kaushal. She is also set to star with Rajkummar Rao in the 1990s-set masala film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
