Spider-Man is a 2002 American superhero film based on the iconic Marvel Comics character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The story follows Peter Parker, a shy and intelligent high school student whose life changes forever after he is bitten by a genetically engineered spider during a school trip. The bite grants him extraordinary powers, including enhanced strength, agility, wall-crawling abilities, and a unique spider-sense. As Peter learns to control his newfound abilities, he adopts the identity of Spider-Man and begins protecting the people of New York City from crime.

At the same time, businessman and scientist Norman Osborn conducts a dangerous experiment on himself that transforms him into the ruthless Green Goblin. As the Goblin unleashes chaos across the city, Spider-Man must step up as a hero and face his greatest challenge yet. The battle becomes even more personal when Peter’s loved ones, including Mary Jane Watson and Aunt May, are caught in the crossfire.

Blending action, romance, and emotional storytelling, Spider-Man explores Peter Parker’s journey from an ordinary teenager to a responsible superhero. The film introduced the famous lesson that would define the character for generations: “With great power comes great responsibility.”
