Spider-Man is a 2002 American superhero film based on the iconic Marvel Comics character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Directed by Sam Raimi and written by David Koepp, the film serves as the first installment in Raimi’s acclaimed Spider-Man trilogy. Produced by Columbia Pictures, Marvel Enterprises, and Laura Ziskin Productions, the movie stars Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Cliff Robertson, and Rosemary Harris.
The story follows Peter Parker, a shy and intelligent high school student whose life changes forever after he is bitten by a genetically engineered spider during a school trip.
