Marc Maron (born September 27, 1963) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and podcast host, known for his sharp, introspective comedy and cultural commentary. He gained prominence through his politically-themed radio shows on Air America and his groundbreaking podcast WTF with Marc Maron, where he’s interviewed hundreds of notable guests, including President Barack Obama. Maron has appeared extensively on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and hosted Short Attention Span Theater and Never Mind the Buzzcocks (U.S.). He is also recognized for his acting, including his acclaimed role in the Netflix series GLOW.
