Liam Neeson (born June 7, 1952) is an Irish actor from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. He studied at Queen’s University Belfast before beginning his acting career at Dublin’s Abbey Theatre, later gaining international fame with his Oscar-nominated role as Oskar Schindler in Schindler’s List (1993). Neeson has been nominated for a BAFTA and three Golden Globe Awards, and is known for roles such as Michael Collins, Qui-Gon Jinn (Star Wars), Ra’s al Ghul (Batman Begins), Aslan in The Chronicles of Narnia, and leading roles in Taken, Love Actually, and The A-Team. He lives in New York and is a widowed father of two.
