Nora Lum, known professionally as Awkwafina (born June 2, 1988), is an American actress, comedian, and rapper who rose to fame with her viral 2012 YouTube track “My Vag”. She released her debut rap album Yellow Ranger in 2014 and gained further recognition on MTV’s Girl Code. She transitioned to film with roles in Neighbors 2, Ocean’s 8, Crazy Rich Asians, and Jumanji: The Next Level. Her Golden Globe-winning performance in The Farewell (2019) marked a major turning point in her career. Awkwafina stars in and co-created Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (2020–present) and appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Katy in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). She has voiced characters in Raya and the Last Dragon, The Bad Guys, The Little Mermaid (2023), and Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024). She also won a Primetime Emmy as star and producer of Quiz Lady (2023).n Movie.
