Anthony Ramos (born November 1, 1991) is an American actor and singer who rose to fame for originating the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Broadway hit Hamilton, earning a Grammy Award and an Emmy nomination for the 2020 filmed version. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Ramos transitioned into film with standout roles in A Star Is Born (2018), the musical In the Heights (2021)—which earned him a Golden Globe nomination—as well as action-packed blockbusters Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023) and Twisters (2024).
