Amit Rai

Amit Rai is an Indian film director and writer acclaimed for his impactful storytelling. He made his directorial debut with Road to Sangam (2010), earning the prestigious Gollapudi Srinivas Award. As an associate director, he worked on the critically acclaimed Marathi film Tingya (2008), which garnered multiple national and international accolades.

After a hiatus, Amit Rai returned with a powerful comeback by writing and directing OMG 2 (2023), the sequel to the highly successful OMG – Oh My God! The film was both a critical and commercial success, earning him the Best Story award at the 69th Filmfare Awards. His filmography reflects a knack for crafting compelling narratives across languages, including the upcoming Dear Jassi in Punjabi and English.
