Thomas Kail is an American theatre director, television director, producer, and filmmaker best known for directing the award-winning Broadway musical Hamilton and In the Heights. Widely regarded as one of the most influential stage directors of his generation, Kail later expanded into television and film, earning acclaim for projects such as Fosse/Verdon, Grease: Live, and Disney’s live-action Moana.
His work has earned numerous honors, including a Tony Award, Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Kennedy Center Honor.
