Alpha (2026) is an upcoming Hindi-language action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail in his feature directorial debut and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner. It serves as the seventh installment in the YRF Spy Universe, expanding the popular franchise with a female-led espionage story. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in lead roles, with Hrithik Roshan making an extended cameo as Major Kabir Dhaliwal.
The story follows Sita (Alia Bhatt), a highly trained assassin who embarks on a dangerous mission to expose and destroy her adoptive father’s illicit soldier program. Her quest brings her into conflict with another deadly assassin while uncovering secrets that threaten national security. Blending high-stakes espionage, intense action, emotional drama, and powerful female protagonists, the film promises to be a major addition to the expanding YRF Spy Universe.
Alpha is produced on an estimated budget of ₹80 crore, making it one of the biggest female-led action films in Bollywood. Principal photography began in July 2024 across Mumbai, Kashmir, and Valladolid (Spain) and concluded in November 2025 after extensive action sequences and post-production work.
The film features music by Rohansh & Abeer Pandit, while the background score is composed by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara. With its large-scale production, action-packed narrative, and star-studded cast, Alpha is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 3 July 2026.
